Details:

Details on the test results below. No grooves worn into the teeth or at tooth peak. The motor ran smooth and quiet without stutter or hesitation.

I offer you the best value not only in quality of this very hard to find Mercedes W123 coupe right rear window motor. If your old right rear Bosch motor part number, used on the 1977 to 1985 Mercedes W123 front window for four door model's, this will replace that one as well just fine. This test will check the motor directly and isolate it from rest of cars electrical systems. Look for bent regulator frame parts.

Black wire pin hole in the female plug of window switch. The seventh picture peers into gear box where you get a glimpse of inner sprocket and rust free upper bearing.

Just look how shiny the copper winding still is after all these years. This motor is better than average because of its overall condition and test results. This first connection may not provide any results as it be a command to raise an already raised window.

To determine if you actually have replace it or not. The fifth and sixth pictures show armature in position holding brushes back. But to sound like it is supposed when running.

This motor will replace it just fine. These brushes maintain constant contact with the armature and wear over time as it spins. A hard lesson years ago taught me that buying used Mercedes parts with old grease still caked on can hide damage or wear you would otherwise pass up. Connect the chargers negative cable to motors green wire.

If you are a do it yourself individual and want to solve this problem yourself, I can help with tips included below. That motor is a 10 tooth design. Spacing between the teeth appear even and uniform.

In other words, connect the battery chargers positive cable to motors green wire using a pointed tool or similar. Try to see anything that does not look right. Your right side is also the of car.

What I do is manually push each brush back into its guide channel and measure how much of the has been used in comparison to where would be positioned if new. Remember, this motor mounts to your right rear regulator part numbers or. Now reverse the wires.

The information is outlined below. I removed this motor from a well cared for 1985 Mercedes 300CD with 214,000 miles on the odometer. Focus on those.

No wear grooves or damage to the inner sprocket splines at all. Remove the rear side panel and disconnect window switch from motors wires. This motor will replace it just fine. I see no evidence of wear on the gear box drive sprocket.

To ease the test I used two pointed tools and connected battery chargers cable clips them.

When tested the motor started instantly and at full power. This motor came from only the second coupe I have found within a 200 mile radius of my location in years time.

More on that as well below. This Bosch motor mounts to a browse co burg right rear regulator part number or.

It is clear from the overall condition and test results, this motor had very little use even after all these years. However I have owned one of these Mercedes W123 coupes and experienced my share window issues.

Details on this motor for specific listing is aimed use in the Mercedes W123 280CE and 300CD as a right rear application. Note the wires leading to motor are black and green in color.

I found no damage to the magnets. This is a genuine used Bosch 14 tooth right rear window motor on the Mercedes W123 coupes only. This means although motor will fit your regulator just fine on 1978 to 1980 W123 coupe splicing motors wires right rear switch may be necessary.

Connect the chargers negative cable to motors black wire using another pointed tool or similar.

Each bolt tower is free of damage. I found no evidence this motor had ever jammed. And fully tested this motors operation. I manually rotated the exterior gear with very little effort to examine all of inner sprockets splines.

Just look how pristine the inside of motor still looks even after all these years. Back to the motor. Please on any picture to see larger more detailed views of this awesome looking motor. The third and fourth pictures show armature along side electrical brush assembly.

Green wire pin hole of the female plug window switch. The eighth picture shows a clean magnet case and rust free lower bearing. I found no issues with the motors brushes.

Even though the motors are inside car, they open to elements. Did the window move freely with this first connection. Look at the very top of regulator where it connects to bracket that holds glass.

If you own a 1978 to 1980 Mercedes 280CE or 300CD, the rear switch on side panel will connect motor with different female plug than of 1981 and 1985 300CD. At the same time, and not allowing tools to touch each other, I inserted other pointed tool connected chargers negative cable, into black pin hole of female plug window switch. Own a 1978 to 1985 Mercedes W123 280CE or 300CD. If you are looking for genuine used far better than average Bosch 14 tooth right rear window motor please consider this awesome part as your next replacement. There is a small elbow at the tip of regulator arm connected to bracket that holds glass.

I say far better than average condition because of the motors overall smooth sounding test results and lack gear wear. Again that's OK. This means to connect the chargers positive cable motors black wire.

You do not have to pay more for this, or wait a printout come with purchase. Remove the two metal access panels. I am not a mechanic. The test result was same when I powered motor in opposite direction.

On close inspection of this motor, in my opinion, I say it still has nearly 85 its original brush material left. Please also note splicing this motors wires to yours may be necessary. Details below.

Own a 1978 to 1985 Mercedes W123 280CE or 300CD. Have right rear window that refuses work. First off, more times than not, please understand the problem with these awesome coupes primarily lies damaged otherwise non functioning regulator. Once again, after examining the brushes on this motor, in my opinion, I can say that 214,000 miles of driving service, motor still has nearly 85 its original brush material left. I do not steam clean window motors because doing so forces water directly into the gear box through two bolt towers on either side of exterior drive. Each work just like they are supposed.

Its all here. And I see no evidence of damage to the towers inner bolt threads. Details on steps to follow for this test below. So very few W123 coupes are made available for parting in this area.

This test, if you are a do it yourself individual, requires the removal of right rear side panel. The second picture shows motor assembled after inspection. Is this small elbow on the regulator arm bent or disconnected. Is gold color bracket itself bent. Any out of alignment needs to be addressed. There is a test you can do directly to the window motor without removing regulator assembly from car first.

So with that said, this motor fits the right rear window location of any Mercedes W123 two door coupe built from 1978 to if your old 14 tooth Bosch is part number, used on 1980 280CE and 300CD window, will replace it just fine. Please look close to this motors electrical wire connections which are designed without a splice required specifically for the 1981 1985 Mercedes W123 coupe switch. Price reduced.

It is extremely difficult to find this Bosch all metal motor design in any condition for the Mercedes W123 coupe. The bracket is kind of gold in color. If you are not sure what your window problem is, and perform regular maintenance on Mercedes now, have it takes to do the following test.

There are different part numbers designs for the rear motors and regulators which I will detail below. Finally, if you own a four door Mercedes w126 built between 1981 and 1984 it is still equipped with the browse co burg cast aluminum regulator using 14 tooth Bosch motor part number, this will replace that one as well.

Remember not to allow the tools touch while charger is connected these. Rest assured I have thoroughly tested this motor not only to run without issue. I have hand cleaned the old grease from motors gear so you a clear view of gears actual condition.

A motors brushes are two spring loaded rectangular shaped blocks, as seen within the electrical assembly in first, third and fourth pictures. It will not fit the right front Mercedes 280CE or 300CD window location.

And over time water, dirt, rust work there way into the casing causing motor to slow, eventually freeze up. To start with I inserted the tip of pointed tool connected chargers' positive cable into green pin hole female plug window switch.
